Marking a significant milestone in India’s healthcare innovation, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra inaugurated the country’s first dual-bay robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) training centre at Yashoda Medicity, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The advanced centre is a joint initiative between Yashoda Medicity and Intuitive, a global leader in minimally invasive surgical technology.

The inauguration event was also attended by Shri Sunil Sharma, Minister for IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The facility aims to transform surgical training by empowering healthcare professionals across various specialities, including urology, gynaecology, and general surgery, with hands-on robotic surgical expertise.

It is expected to play a pivotal role in creating a strong, future-ready surgical workforce across the country.

Dr. P.N. Arora, Chairman and Managing Director, Yashoda Group of Hospitals, said, “Establishing this dual-bay RAS training centre reflects our commitment to bringing global surgical standards to Indian healthcare. We are proud to lead the way in shaping the future of surgery.”

Dr. Upasana Arora, Managing Director, Yashoda Group of Hospitals, added, “This initiative aligns with the government’s ‘Heal in India’ mission by making advanced treatments accessible while positioning India as a global destination for high-quality, minimally invasive surgery.”
